Styrofoam, spackling and a little imagination

Everytime I open anything electronic, I look at the packing styrofoam and wonder if there is someway of recycling it. I've wondered about crumbling it to mix in with dirt for potted plants, etc., but haven't tried it yet. I did have a brainstorm (or brainf**t, if you will:-), and got out my woodburning tool with the knife blade in it, and started cutting out crude snowmen in different sizes. I took a 5" X 7" wood plaque, mounted the styro shapes onto it, then started smearing them all with spackling. After they all dried, I painted and 'dressed' them, and here's the finished product.
