I've never had anything like that happen. Did you paint the wood first? If not, could it be the wood itself that turned them orangey?

Thanks for the reply, Rach. Wood was not painted first, but I later applied the decoupage meduim to several other flowers on a white styrofoam plate- one from the same napkin, one from another & one from seed catalog...all changed color.

I used "Anita's Decoupage Medium."

I have been wondering about that also. I used mod podge over the lace on my christmas tray, the wood under it was painted and sealed with clear from wal-mart, the next day I looked at it and the white lace had a blueish look, I was lucky I could paint over mine. I am sure someone will know, sorry about your project sounds like alot of work, maybe its the dye in the napkin, just a guess.

Try spraying the pics with a matte acrylic sealer before decoupaging...this should protect the ink from changing color.
