Hello, embroiderers. I am interested in using quotations (from a poem, song, etc.) in a piece of embroidery. If I credit the original author with the quotation, is it legal to do this? To obtain permission and/or pay royalties(!) would be impossible for me, so I am wondering if it is sufficient to simply credit the author within the embroidered piece.
