I have a different machine, and don't have a hat hoop. But I have done hats two different ways. The first way and easiest way is to make a patch then sew that on the hat. If you want to do the hat you can get the sticky stablizer, hoop that on your regular hoop then stick the hat right on it. That worked for me but you have to sit by your machine and watch it. The patch is really the easiest way to go. But it doesn't look as good as being right on the hat.
