MAC computer with machine

My mother-in-law just got a Janome 11000 model (I believe). Can someone give me the skinny on the following. Does she need a computer to run this? Does the computer store files and the machine read them directly from that. Can it also read files off a Compact Flash Card. Excuse the ignorance I am just trying to help her out and what I have found online has not been the best.

Your best bet is to read the manual that comes with the machine. It should tell you what you need to know. Colleen

Actually read the manual several times...both your MIL and you. Then practice page by painful page.

In the technical section there may be something about your machine's ability or inability to run on a MAC unless you have the Microsoft capatability program to run microsoft programs.
