SwitchFlops - changeable flip flops

A friend told me about these - they would be great for traveling. They are flip flops that you can change the look of for different outfits.

Here is a link that might be useful: SwitchFlops

What a great idea - smart cookie that girl! I love 'em and live in flip flops of one kind or another all summer - that would be a fun way to change things up. Not inexpensive, though.

A very clever idea, but honestly, if I never hear the 'slap, slap, slap' of flip-flops again, I will be a happy camper. Great for the pool or beach or some other casual, beach attire event. They don't belong at work or at weddings or with anything dressier than shorts and a tee.

    Very clever.

Now I will let you in on one of my ideas waiting to be developed. I want to see that done with prescription eyeglass frames. Either something you could paint on or slip on so that you could change the look of your frames to match your mood or outfit.

We bought DD a pair of them, plus a couple of other straps, while we were vacationing in Florida last Easter. She loves hers and now has several other different straps for them.

Adorable, and what a clever idea! They're a bit more than I'd probably spend, though. An entire "wardrobe" could easily run $100+.

I disagree with the statement above that flip-flops aren't appropriate worn with anything dressier than shorts and a tee. There are lots of cute summer sundresses that are wonderful with flip-flops. Capris and long lightweight pants too. I live in my flip-flops in the warmer months. Would I wear them to a wedding or to the office? No. But they are a lot more versatile than I think they're given credit for being.

    Very clever, and very cute.
One drawback is I could buy 4 pairs of flip-flops for the price of one strap. (If I wore flip-flops that is, they would be misery for my PF!)

Jen, I thought that the SwitchFlops would make packing for a Mexican vacation a breeze!

Darn it -- stop tempting me like that! ;-D

You're so right ... I packed 5 pairs for our trip in January.

Graywings, someone has stolen your idea about the glasses. At my eye doc, they sell a collection that has interchangeable arms, with different patterns and widths. Obviously the frames themselves stay the same. Very cool.

Auntjen, I consider sundresses and lightweight, casual pants in the same category as shorts - great for casual summer wear but not something appropriate for the office or a dressy event. Certainly not appropriate for the White House, as a women's sport team did a few years back.

Capris are something that I have never understood. I haven't ever seen them where they really look nice or flatter the person's body and proportions. Even models look bad in them - what chance do regular folks have? LOL

lenam, a friend of mine owns a shoe store that sells Danskos, Birkenstocks, etc. and says that all the flip flop wearers is what keeps in him in business (including me). They usually end up in his store HAVING to buy his shoes with more support, mainly from PF.

I still wear flip flops on occasion, but years of wearing them constantly is what gave me PF. Can't give them up entirely though-LOL!

Now I have to buy the Birkenstock sandals (not the original style) that are patent black or red and silver, the dressiest and least "clunkiest" I can find. I have just about every color. Not my favorite look, but I ruined my feet wearing flip flops, with no support for years and years. I hadn't worked a job, so I wore flip flops every day in the warm months.
