bump. Nobody?

I recently purchased a leather sectional from Stendmar. I also found Stendmar in Ebay and was skeptical at first to buy furniture online. Luckily, Stendmar has a warehouse near (about 50 miles) from my house so I paid them a visit. They didn't have a huge showroom but I saw enough of the sectionals to make sure that the products were well made and comfortable. I bought the style S625 with custom Mocha Bycast leather on the spot. They promised me that the sectional will be delivered within 5 weeks however, I got it in 3 weeks. The sectional came triple wrapped, bubble wrap enclosed within cardboard box, wrapped within canvas waterproof covering.

I can tell anyone who is skeptical about buying from Stendmar that you can be rest assured that you will get a great product at a great price.

I too am looking at stendmar for my new leather super low and contemporary sectional. It is EXACTLY what I want and despite the good reviews I am hestitant as this is a big purchase that is hard to return. So n_phoenix, did you end up buying s205? If so, can you please post your experience with this company and more imporantly how is the couch? everything you expected? Thanks

I recently purchased an Italian Leather Sectional from them. Unfortunately I feel 'baited and switched'. What was delivered was (and this is no joke) a full pleather sectional.

When I placed my order what was agreed upon was a Full Italian leather sofa...upon receipt three weeks later, and upon further inspection turned out to be a fake leather with fabric backing.

Clearly deceptive sale. I did not really notice that it was not leather until hours after we received it when a friend of mine said something. If it were not for an accidental tear in the back from shipping, I would not have believed him.

I didn't even question that it would not be leather due to the cost, so honestly thought he was just being jealous of my good deal. Turns out he was right and now I'm out some big bucks.

After contacting them abou it, they claim that it was never supposed to be leather and that in the invoice it stated that it was half leather and half vinyl, which it was not. They tried to push off that it's bycast leather. Which in effect is 'Pleather' or vinylized skimcoated leather like material.

I would really consider rethinking ordering fro them.

Hmm. Now I am skeptical. They look really cool, they are made of Bycast leather which i am not convinced is terrible but it certainly doesnt sound ideal.

What I would like to know is are these sofas comfortable? Does any one have buyers remorse based on comfort?

My newly wedded daughter diected me to Stendmar for a Euro design round bed and mattress. Has anyone purchased this from this company? Would like to know how well it sleeps, holds up, and if it is worth the price and shipping cost. A little concerned about the mattress...looks like it comes in 2 sections. Please reply soon, trying to purchase by grad school graduation in May, 2010. Thank you. Also, curious as to how their furniture has held up; noticed these posts were a few years ago.

So I bought a beautiful round sectional from them back in 2009 it lasted many years:) until some movers actually damaged it we are currently building a home and I will be ordering the same couch again in different colors. As far as the leather goes they have pleather and real leather there is a cost difference we had used a mixture for areas that we feel and sit on we went with real leather and went with pleather for the back of the couch I can absolutely recommend them
