Hi Frieda, the rug is amazing - it is one of my favorites. It is a series of prayer rugs from Afghanistan that are between 80-100+ years old. They were batch dye in a blue color to give them harmony. In person you can really see the age and texture of these. Many vendors are knocking off this style with Turkish rugs that are not truly vintage but have a similar patchwork, dyed look to them. These are generally cheaper but not of good quality and I just don't like them because they try to represent something they are not.
