Outdoor tile

First time posting in "Flooring" forum but I'm a frequent poster in HVAC and also Fireplaces.

I have a 7 ft x 7 ft concrete pad (6 inches thick) under a deck. I am planning to install 12-inch porcelin ceramic tile. I bought a PEI 5 rated tile from Lowes that's indoor/outdoor approved and frost resistant. I am in Baltimore, MD, so freeze/thaw is an issue.

I have not bought the thinset or the grout yet as I am just starting to lay out the pattern.

Questions:

1. I know I need an thinset that is approved for outdoor use. Do I need to add anything to the thinset for improved outdoor strength?

2. Same question as above but for grout.

3. Do I need an underlayment on the concrete or is it good-to-go as is?

4. Any other comments for outdoor tile.

Thanx in advance.
