My flooring contractor was trying to install EcoTimber Woven bamboo, 9/16", using a recommended HighPro AS4090 stapler (18 gauge). But the bamboo is so hard that the staple is crumpling in some cases, and only seating correctly intermittently.

We really don't want to use glue-down method, but not sure what to do. Has anyone had experience with stapling this type of floor???
