I was at the PA Farm Show last week and bought a skein of variegated alpaca wool. It is a periwinkle color shading to off-white. I found a pattern for a lacy scarf and started knitting it. After about an inch of the scarf, I noticed that the design doesn't really show up with variegated yarn.
I am willing to rip it out and start over with another pattern. Any suggestions as to what pattern would show off variegated yarn?
