I was given some super soft merino/alpaca wool yarn and I don't like the medium grey color. I would love it if it was black or even a deep wine or purple. Is it worth it to try dying this yarn. It is for #6 needles (dk )and I have enough to make a medium sized long sleeved pullover. I have dyed yarn before but only in small amounts for socks. I loved the results but the color didn't stay well when it was washed. Please give me your thoughts on what to do with this yarn.
