Hi, I check here too, everyday. I guess we're too busy lately. I'm in the process of looking for something interesting to knit. Sometimes I get out of the mood.

I also check in here every day. Love your towel Donna! I haven't been doing much knitting lately. I'm having lots of trouble with my arthritis. Been seeing the rheumatologist, but this new medication is not working very well. I even have trouble typing. My hands felt pretty good yesterday, so I picked up a sock that I had been working on and did some knitting, I got the heel part done (yay) but I am sure paying for it today. I keep hoping they'll get better though, I sure miss my knitting! I like to see what you are all up to also.

I check in every day too and am disappointed at how this forum has slowed. I am between projects now. Finished a sweater to give to a new baby with an afghan from my premade stash, which is gettin quite low. Also made a baby apple hat yesterday for the next baby boy, whoever that may be.

I am thinking of using up some yarn and making a baby jacket--maybe. Two projects in the wings: I bought some yarn to make DS some socks and other yarn to knit an evening purse. Saw the purses at a local boutique for about $200, so I guessed I could make one too. We will see.

And my big project that is nagging at me is the filet crochet cotton thread banquet cloth, almost done, that needs lots of analysis to find the mistake which is about 2 feet back, I am guessing. I put it away for DDs wedding late last summer. I want to rip out to the point of the mistake, once I locate it, and finish the cloth without so much fudging. Need to feel energetic and have some good light to take on that analysis!

Lawmar, sorry to hear about the pain you're having. I have such a huge stash of yarn and sometimes I think that I will have enough things to keep me busy for the rest of my life. Then I worry that my eyesight will fail (it continues to degrade) to the point that I won't be able to knit or crochet anymore. That would be a cruel joke, wouldn't it?

Remember the post I made last month about the geometric baby afghan I was working on? I finally finished all 12 sqaures and got them sewn together. Last night I picked up all the border stitches and will begin knitting the border tonight. I loved doing it, but I am glad that it's almost done. I have THINGS I want to make and I'm anxious to start something else. I recently got some new patterns on ebay and have ideas swimming around in my head. And, not this weekend, but next, DH and I will be taking our monthly car trip to Clovis - about 3.5 hours each way, so I need to put a couple of projects together for the trip.

I also check in daily but have not had too much to offer lately. With the end of the semester and planning a trip to San Diego to visit my youngest, there has been little time. I just got back and love the towel. Her apartment needs some finishing touches - afghan, dishcloths, placements, towels, pillows, etc. so I could be busy for months! Will have to visit Michaels or AC Moore since my stash doesn't have her color schemes. At least when she lived in China the color schemes didn't matter.

I am currently finishing a baby blanket that I saw posted in the gallery in late April. First I needed to get the pattern - thanks to eBay - and now I'm finishing those tiny granny squares in the corner. That delayed me since I don't enjoy putting the squares together. Oh, I also made a light weight poncho and posted the picture. Used microspun so it's fine with the southern CA weather.

profsusan, love your poncho. Light weight ones look better than the bulky ones-(aka-Martha Stewart poncho)It looks really nice.
