Martha Stewart poncho

I have just finished the Bernat version of Martha Stewart's poncho. I've sewn together the front and back but have hit a snag in sewing on the edging. It seems that I have a few more scallops than necessary or should the edging be gathered that much? I expect this is not a new question and that others may have had the same problem. I'm new to the forum and would appreciate any and all help I can get. Thanks.

Chrisnat....(I'm new to this chat room thats why I'm responding now) Did you knit or crochet the poncho? I just finished knitting Marthas poncho and it was real easy.

Hi All. Would someone tell me where to find the pattern for the Martha poncho. I have a lot of time on my hands now and really need a crochet project. I just lost my husband and am too distracted to do any reading, but I love to crochet because I can do that while I stare blankly at the television. I'm trying to stay busy but my energy is non-existent. I'll truly appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.
