In the 90's I was knitting an afgan made up with diffrent aran pattern squares. Each one diffrent. We owned a hardware store and I would knit in the afternoon when things were slow in the store. I was putting the finished pieces together when I sat it aside for the day and went home. Well that night the store burned down and the fire marshalls said they found the knitting needles in the bacement. A couple years later I found the patternbook with that afgan in it and I started over. Finishing it just before we were moving, I packed that afgan in a box marked the top with big letters AFGAN. When we got to the new house the box was no where to be found. Guess I wasn't meant to have that aran afgan. Dottie from Mn.
