I assume you don't want to put it in the dryer for fear of shrinking? It is tempting to put in the dryer, but that would be heartbreaking if it shrank. You could email the thread manufacturer about that.

You could dry it flat on the floor in an unused room or across a bed. Run a fan in the room to keep the air moving.
If it's a nice day, have the window open.

Or if you feel you have a safe yard or patio, spread it out there on something clean. Stay home and keep an eye on it.
I was thinking you could put plastic over the table and then put it on the table to dry, but it might stretch at the tables' edge. Anyway these are my thoughts--I think I'd be inclined to dry flat on the floor if possible.

Sheila, I made a round tablecloth for my dining room table over the course of several years (!), so I know where you're coming from! :)

I wash my round one in the washer and dry it in the dryer, but it does seem to shrink up. I've tried hanging it from the center to dry, but then I get a peak in the center! For a rectangular one, you could probably wash in the washer and hang over a shower rod to dry.

I remember our next-door neighbor had a huge wood frame that she would set up outside. It had nails or hook all around the edge to stretch and dry lace tablecloths or bedspreads.
Failing that, I'd vote for draping it across the bed and out onto the carpet. After all, you'll only use this size cloth a couple of times a year, so it's worth fussing over.
