Easy Sock or Mitten Pattern Wanted

Hi All,

Saw some really cute items made on here, and I think I can feel a crocheting frenzy about to happen! I am looking for a very (did I say VERY?) simple, easy crochet pattern for mittens or socks/slippers. I don't knit at all, but can crochet some easier things. Any help y'all can give would be well appreciated.
