Have you all seen the new commercial for one of the room deoderants, maybe Glade? The premise is that these products are ugly, so a grandma-type crochets a little ruffly cover for one and then shows an Easter themed cover that looks like a bunny.

I wonder if we should be offended ;)

I've seen that one a few times, and it paints a sort of stereotypic picture of someone crocheting dorky-looking covers for what...room fresheners? Stupid commercial!

Actually if you look the WHOLE room is crocheted! She has doilies on the wall and covers on nearly everything you can see.

I agree with the sterotypical thing. I guess I'm not the norm at all then.

You want to see people look at someone funny? How about a 25 year old wearing jean skirt and funky top waiting in the waiting room at the doctors for her DH to get a vasectomy and making yo-yo's! ;) Boy did I get a lot of stares and head turns. It was like people never saw a person sew before! LOL
