Childs sock pattern?

I've been looking for a child's sock pattern knit out of chunky wool to fit a six yr old girl.All the patterns I find seem to have way too many stitches for a child.I found one that had 27 stitches,but it's still way too big for a six yr old.

Does anyone know where I can find on line a pattern of this type.I have an abundance of chunky wool, and would like to knit DGD some nice warm socks.

Well, I can't find that pattern, BUT, I have one that calls for worsted weight and goes from a childs small (1-2years) up to an adult large. You might be able to make the childs small in the chunky to fit the 6 y/o. Just make the foot long enough. If you want to try it, let me know.

ps: I'll keep looking as I clean today, because I am sure I have the pattern I thought of.
