I've done sweaters and other traditional things. Hopefully someone has done this kind of scraf. Here's my idea. If you have the time (ya, right - it's a week until Christmas), how about blocking it in several passes. You'll have to figure out some way to hold part of the scarf up in the air. I'm sort of visualizing two milk bottles with a cookie pan balanced on top. Pin & dampen only the 'bottom' and leave it until dry. Then rotate and repeat.

This method may be unconventional, but it is quick and it really does work fine, even for acrylics. Although, you may not want to use it for anything that has highly textured stitches, like a bobble stitch. Just loop the moebius over the end of your ironing board. Turn the iron on as low as you can go and still be able to use the steam feature. Place a clean cotton dish towel over the area on the ironing board and slowly pass the iron over the towel - just above the surface (think hovercraft). This forces some of the steam down into the towel. Then, lightly (quickly) iron the towel to dry the steam. Rotate the moebius and repeat.

I wanted to report back that I have finally had a chance to try your suggestions, and used the ironing board method. Because of the fibre content of the moebius, I put the steam iron directly on it and was very pleased with the results.

I liked the results so well, I went ahead and used the same ironing method to block a sweater I had just finished. I'm still working on sewing it together, but I must say that this method of blocking has given the pieces a very nice, flat, even shape that is really easy to sew together.
