Knitting pattern help please

20 years ago

I was knitting a brete to felt using a pattern I think its from Lion Brand. When I came to the crown it says for round one - K6,*S2KP,k12;repeat from*. What is S2KP? I thought maybe slip 2 knit 1 purl 1 but how would that make an decrease?
