Mid priced cabinet lines usually average $400-700 per linear foot (counting the whole kitchen walls, and not subtracting for appliances) for a kitchen you would actually install in your home. You can of course go higher for more details if those are important to you. But, this price range will give you a usable corner, a drawer base or two, some molding, maybe one or two organizers, toekick and pulls. Any less than that, and the kitchen will be so basic that most people won't consider it.

So, for a 12 x 12 kitchen, 24 linear feet of cabinetry, I'd expect cabinets to be $9600-$16,800 for a medium priced cabinet line, depending on your choices of upgrades.
