60/40 Sink

We're not sure where we want our 60/40 sink in front of a 6' window.

With the 60/40 split sink the faucets will never be exactly centered. Since the faucet won't be centered we're considering moving the sink to the left most of the 6 foot window. This would provide 3' of window in front of a prep area on the right (or vice versa). Or maybe it looks pretty nice having the sink (but not faucet) centered under a sink. Countertop space is not an issue.

Could you send pics of your windows above your 60/40 sink and say what you like or dislike about the arrangement?

Pics and life experience are so helpful for me!

Hi aloha..

My kitchen had a 60/40 sink. It is ALMOST centered under the window. It IS slightly off-centered. The faucet is placed between the 60/40 split. Visually, it looks fine to me...But I'm not super picky about things like this. My previous kitchen had a way-off uncentered sink. I never even noticed it!...These are the best pics I have of my new kitchen sink/window/faucet...

Kitchenaddict your kitchen is "devine design". It's hard to pay attention to the faucet and sink when the overall kitchen is so beautiful.

I have a 70/30 sink and while the sink is centered on the window, the faucet is not. It's not an issue at all. (Personally, it wouldn't bother me if the sink were not centered either, but my DH wanted it centered.)

Buehl, I've seen partial pics of your kitchen. I was intriqued with your overall layout could you post your whole kitchen design?

I thought most of sinks that weren't half and half were 60/40. Are they typically 70/30? Perhaps that is why I"m not getting much input.
