I don't know about KM, but you can do it with Schuler, the Medallion line sold at Lowes. I re-sized a number of cabinets with them, adjusting height and depth. It'll cost you, but if you want to maximize that space, it'll be worth it.

I did 19" deep base cabinets with Kraftmaid. It's an expensive option, but it's doable.

You can do it with American Woodmark, too. I have a few cabinets that I have changed the depth in.

Typically if you go up in 3" increments from standard the costs aren't extraordinary. The difference between 15 and 16" deep could be pretty high, so try to stick to 15.

We are using Glenwood and the charge to modify any cabinet (no matter how much) is aprox 30%.

Medallion Cabinetry and Schuler Cabinetry will modify the depth of your cabinet in 1/4 inch increments, so you wouldn't need to stick to that old 3-inch incremental sizing rule.

I just had this priced last night at Lowes for Schuler. All my uppers at 15" deep. It cost 25% more to change a single dimension. Example, EZ Reach corner cabinet cost 609.57 plus 152.39 to change the depth. Note that Diamond does not offer an increased depth on the EZ Reach corners.

Most semi-custom cabinets have a reduced depth option. KraftMaid is 25%, as is Medallion.

Keep in mind that sometimes, with some manufacturers, you can use bathroom linen cabinet. So instead of using a utility cabinet and paying to have it cut down....you order a tall linen cabinet that is already priced at 18" deep. No cut down modifications!

However, most manufacturers only offer the linen cabinets in 84" height. And some only go up to 24" wide.
