Hi,

I read both your posts and it looks like "T1" is probably a naming label that the lighting designer used on the plan to designate on the schedule what is to be used. I would suggest finding out from the contractor what EXACTLY is included on the schedule for fixture "T1". If it is track, you should find out the brand and the part # for each "head" and how many "heads" are specified. The largest amount of $$ is usually in the heads if the track is a standard track (eg, not low-voltage track or "monorail").

You may also be able to substitute one brand of track for another that is less expensive. Or, you may choose not to use track in the closets and put in a surface mounted fluorescent or "button" style fixture.

Good luck!

Hi,

As far as I know track lighting would not pass code(national electric code). You need a fixture with a lens. If you can post a picture, a copy of the spec or manufacturer, i may be able to help find out what this is.

Thanks.
When I can get more info I will post again. Surely there is a better way!

Long, narrow and tall with moving "out-of-season-fixtures" probably means you need covered fluorescent lights.....maybe even impact resistant........

"T" in fluorescent Tubes is the diameter/size in 1/8ths of an inch.....T-12 is 1 1/2" in diameter......T-8 is the 1" slimline

Perhaps there's a typo or poor pen-man-ship......ASK !
