converting ceiling light to fan/light?

In our bedrooms we have the standard ceiling fixture (2-60w bulbs) but would like to replace them with a fan/light (we don't have central air and it gets HOT sometimes!).

Is this possible very simply and inexpensively? Can you use the existing wires or do you need to add some for the fan? I'm fine if the wall switch controls the light and you use a pull on the fan to turn it on. If anyone could give me a blow by blow or link to how to do this kind of conversion I'd much appreciate it!

I have installed a ceiling fan/light where the appropriate wires were already in place, and I've replaced a light fixture with another one, so I have an itty bitty bit of experience, but nothing like this.

Thanks!
