I used mostly HF fixtures in our home - too many to count. It's been over 6 years, so I don't remember who I ordered from but just use thefind.com (or the like) to narrow down the prices. retailmenot is a good source for coupons.

The fixtures are very well made, if that makes you feel better about the price.

Many sites give 10% off first time orders when you sign up for emails.

I have a 5 arm chandelier by them in our breakfast room. Love all of the fixtures we have from HF.

No regrets on buying three HF fixtures years ago. Some things seem worth it...

I made do with our recessed lights for a year while saving up for the HF fixture I wanted over our kitchen island. That was 9 yrs. ago. Since then I've seen similar styles for less, but they don't have the same look of quality. Has to be because of materials and workmanship, because it's a simple design. Since it's such a prominent feature in our home I think it was worth the investment. I consider it a piece of art, as much as a light fixture.

With HF you get what you pay for! Save up for it.

I actually have a couple of Hubbardton Forge fixtures so I know that they are well made. I will probably bite the bullet and pay the price. Thanks to all of you who responded.

I too finally went with HF after searching in vain for a less expensive dining room and kitchen pendant that were the sizes and styles that I wanted.
They're gorgeous and I'm very happy with the choice.

I went with the HandmadeinVermont website too. Found that they had the best prices and since they're not a giant chain you can talk to a real person if need be.

sis2two -- I don't know if you'll catch my response, but I wanted to let you know there is a Hubbardton Forge lighitng fixture for next to nothing at the consignment shop where I volunteer. It has been for sale for awhile and the price is now down to $45.00!!! If it is anywhere close to what you are looking for, I would even consider buying it and shipping it to you. For the cost to the shipping and the price of the fixture from the shop, you could get a great deal. I must add that I do not see anything on the fixture that indicates it is Hubbardton Forge, but it is absolutely identical to the one in the link. The pricers identified it as Hubbardton Forge, but I don't know if the consignor said it was or if they researched it and figured it out. It is not a light weight, flimsy fixture. Handmade in Vermont is likely your best source. Located in Wallingford, VT, I believe they are HF largest distributor and have a showroom worth making the trip to see the lights in person. They offer a discount when you make large purchases (I believer over $5,000) and this is the only distributor I know that accepts returns, (in case you don't like the finish when it arrives, or accidentally order one too many!). If you are lucky enough to be in Wallingford, you can check out their returns and discontinued showroom model folder, which they sell the fixtures as is, final sale, at 75% off. (Don't call to find out what's in the book, you must show up in person to check it out.) You can check out the fixture before you buy, so you know exactly what you are getting. Everything we have purchased has been in good working order. You can sometimes hunt down pieces on Craigslist or e-bay - but its really hit or miss. There are some amazing new designs for 2019; including some with twists on some classic transitional chandeliers and some with a mid-century modern feel. Love how HF successfully blends a more modern look with natural, almost earthy finishes.
