Darker Shade than Grant Beige

Does anyone have any suggestions for something a couple shades darker than BM Grant Beige? Painter just painted my new kitchen Grant Beige and I LOVE the color. It is just perfect, but I think I want something a bit darker under the chair rail in the dining room portion of the room. (We took the wall out between the K & DR.)

Chair rail, base and crown molding, and cabinets are all BM White Dove. Chair rail is low, only about 24" off the floor. Floor is red oak with a natural finish. Only other colors in the room are slate black perimeter counters and cherry island top.

Does anyone know if it's possible or advisable to just have them mix Grant Beige at double strength to get a darker variation? I have to get some more samples tomorrow, but from what I have I'm thinking Bennington Gray, but fear that may be too close to Grant Beige.

I have to pick over the weekend, so your suggestions are most welcome.

You can ask the paint shop to make Grant Beige a certain percentage darker. Just talk to them about what you are looking for and they will suggest the percentage.

If you go on the BM site and enter that color, it gives you potential color combos....for grant beige:1553 and 525 or AF 180

Or shades such as
HC 94 and 95 and 2148-10.

I would start there, with their color matcher, with those shades, and see if there is anything you like, if not, it's a good leap off point for the type of shades and tones you should start with.

If you want, you can easily ask for a sample to be mixed at 200%.

I am currently painting my entry and downstairs Grant Beige. My living room is adjacent to the foyer, I used Ashley Grey..a few shades darker on the Grant Beige palette and I love it!!
