Marble darkening when wet

Is that normal on Calacatta Gold? We just moved back in and I'm afraid to cook just yet and leave stains! Fabricator says it's sealed with 511 porous plus, but every tiny water droplet instantly leaves a dark spot that fades when it dries. Is that the nature of light marble, or do I need to seal it again?

Mine doesn't do that, but sealing is pretty easy so if I were you I would seal it again to ease your mind. I believe many here have used 511 porous plus with great results, but I used Akemi Nano after reading about Roccocogurl's kitchen. You can see her post about it on AtticMag at the link below.

When it is properly sealed no water will absorb but will bead. You need at least two coats waiting several hours in between.
