Hi Mboston! I've never bought DF items, but I do know that Kohl's has the best return policy in the biz! Basically, you can return something anytime, no questions asked! Without a receipt, they'll give you the lowest sale price on a gift card. With the receipt, you'll get your money back in full at any point, I think.

If you really like it, I'd give it a try while you have a great coupon. I understand your concerns about fading. Maybe someone else here knows more about that.

Just wondering if you washed the Hotel quilt in warm or cold water. I always use cold if the quality is in question. It holds up better, no matter what the care label says.

stinky-gardener, you are so right about Kohls and their return policy. I bought a piece of luggage in Colorado and flew home with it to Ohio and it broke on the first use. I took it back to the Kohls in Ohio without a receipt and they looked it up in their system and just could not find that exact model, though they had the same brand. After several different people getting involved, I sat there scouring my brain and said to them, "You know, maybe I didn't buy it here, maybe I bought it at another store." They said not to worry, exchanged it for a brand new suitcase and sent me on my way. When I got home, I found my receipt, I had bought it at Walmart!

Sashasmommy, that's an amazing story! That's what I call going beyond the call of duty. It's so refreshing to hear about a happy ending and excellent customer service!

That's why the lines at customer service take so long! LOL!

(I once was behind a man who was returning about 25 picture frames, without receipts.....oh my, there was almost a revolt)

But, yes they do have a great return policy!
