Paint for attic

We have a two room and bathroom attic with walk up stairs in our 1930s house in DC. It was your typical attic with low walls and a low ceiling but we took out the flat ceiling and now the walls slope up to the roofline with exposed beams going across. We will paint the walls and ceiling the same color (probably an offwhite) as there is little to say where one finishes and the other starts. I would appreciate advise on a wall paint that will go on well with a roller for the high areas. Cost is not much of a factor but durability is. We will probably use something like CC for the woodwork as being British born and bred we are used to that kind of finish for woodwork and up to now have used high gloss alkyd. I have read a lot of postings and am left with the idea that perhaps (Lowes) Valspar (are there different kinds of Valspars there?) would be OK for this room.

Thanks for your time.
