Decorate me!

Ok I couldn't come up with the 10 million for that other lovely property but I found this one at a steal for just 649,000. Well compared to price of the other home anyway. The problem is it needs a major overhall. So wanna help me out? The stone fireplace and the double frige and single freezer I kinda like anything else (especially that formal dining room) is fair game. So talented people this house is screaming

Actually I like the den too but then I'm a wood person.

It's oddly cool in a very weird way. I could do something with that place. I just don't get how cheap it is??? What's wrong with it (aside from the oddly cool in a weird way LOL)

Good news, I've got the bedroom to go with the fur bathroom:

We didn't buy this house either...maybe I have a thing against leopard skin on the walls....

That is soooo a perfect match! LOL There is something oddly appealing about the house huh, I'd live in it with some changes of course.

$649,000??? I know that Michigan is hurting but...

I'd have a ball with that house! The only thing I'd do is tear up the gold carpet.

The rooms come from different centuries though, did you notice? It has a bit of Louie's Versailles, Tudor and 50s deco going on, every room is different. I love it!

Are the roofs all flat? I only clicked on the kitchen and felt my stomach turn, so I didn't go any further.

If the kitchen did you in then you must see the rest of the house, some of the rooms are.... interesting. The kitchen is rather mild. LOL

OMG, the Family Room has a beam me up, Scotty chandelier!

Someone is going to need some dynamite!

fyi, I looked it up on Yahoo Real Estate. It's only been on the market for 29 days.

***OMG, the Family Room has a beam me up, Scotty chandelier! ****

LOL the poolside entertaining room makes me want to get a poodle skirt and have a soda pop.

There is something very sad going on there. I don't understand the price. Yeah, it's realllly ugly, but still.

Hey, maybe that's the house we should all go in on together! Think of the fun we'd have rescuing it! And it's a screaming bargain... Not one, not two, but three Sub Zeros.

I'm REALLY groovin' on that house. That one would be a blast to overhaul. Count me in on the rescue, amysrq!

That's cheap! What's wrong with it, other than the Jayne Mansfield interiors?

    I'm there with ya, Amy!

    So who is buying it?

Holy crap, my house is more like the maid's quarters. I wouldn't know what to do with all that elaborate stuff. Good luck!

OMG, did anyone click on the poolside entertainment room??? I liked the grounds, but found the interior to be strangely depressing.

Wondering who the people were that lived there. Wonder how they had it furnished.

The pool entertainment room was really bad and don't think I would be able to be in there more than 3 minutes.

    That was a fun tour.

Just once I want to live in a place where I tell people "and this is the bedroom wing". Just once. And I promise it won't make me uppity or anything.

What?? Not one speck of color in the landscaping!

I'm oddly drawn to the tile on the poolside room, it's different. Heh heh.

Dont' laugh -- but many of the interior photos remind of rooms in the long-lost Domino magazine. Groovy, Hollywood Retro style .....

I did love the chandeliers! It would be fun to see how the folks here (with all of our different styles) would "re-do" this house. Looks like it has good-sized rooms!

Jan (less than groovy -- even when Groovy was fresh in 60s LOL!)

If I had a photoshop program I would redecorate some of it just for fun.
