After it was painted in May, it looked good with Muresco and now it doesn't? Or did it never look good with Muresco? It's the number one selling ceiling paint on the planet and I hate it. A few things you can do is prime the entire ceiling first so that the paint will not soak in unevenly, use a bigger nap sleeve, apply the paint heavy and even and have two people rolling so that you can better keep a wet edge. I would also question the painter as to why it looks so bad.

The BM paint store said it's the #1 selling paint too. It looks like chalk to me.

The ceiling looked ok in May but I wasn't thrilled with the Muresco. Now it's actually cracking in a couple spots. Would that be from him rolling it on too thick? This is after two coats.

What paint would you recommend? I think the last painter used Muralo.

Neither of these "painters" are professional from my estimation and I told myself the first time around I would never hire someone like that and didn't I do it again? Maybe now I've finally learned my lesson.

The owner of the paint store told me to wait a week and he would come to my house to look at it. He said let's take it a step at a time to get it corrected.

A lot of painters swear by Muresco, but I honestly don't understand it. I use the Super Spec flat for ceilings. I also like Ultra Hide from ICI but that is difficult for DIY'ers to apply. The cracking paint can come from either it being rolled on too thick or from applying the second coat before the first is dry which will sometimes re-wet the first coat.
