roller covers

I just painted a sample wall today with Purdy Dove 3/8 nap and I may have done something wrong, but the finish is not as smooth as I would like. We used this cover downstairs and the finish was fine, so I may have just put the paint on too thick.The paint is BM Matte.

If I wanted a better roller cover than this, what would it be?

There are many roller covers that are better than a Purdy.

Wooster makes the one of the finest. Choose a Wooster Pro Doo Z in either 3/8 or 1/2 nap.

Be sure you are applying an adequate amount of paint. The leveling act requires the right amount. Don't stretch that paint. Be generous.

Thanks Michael,
I thought I was putting it on heavier than I normally do and thought that might be the problem. I'm not sure why I got such a rough finish.
I'll try to find the Wooster.

purdy's white dove is an excellent sleeve to use , so is wooster's. nothing wrong with either one of them.

Did you defuzz the roller before starting to paint?
