I have a large damask stencil that I'm trying to do in my dining room. The problem is my odd ding room. One wall has a floor to almost ceiling window that is slightly off-center. The other wall has two long windows separated by my 6ft. buffet. The other 2 walls are open to other rooms with 7 ft arches and 3 pillars at the corner. In other words, all walls are different. I'm trying to break up the damask so there is not an all over pattern . I'm using a gold-yellow backgraound and mettalic teal stencil color over that, so I don't want too much color. What I'm ending up with looks like a border around the top, which is too rigid for me. I'd like to be more random, but that bugs my hubby. Any ideas on how to be randomly not random? Any pictures of anyone's large stenciling?Any help appreciated.
