OT - rug sizes

Sorry to step briefly out of the kitchen, but we all know the best minds on GW are here.

I found a rug I really like for my entry hall, but I am worried about the size. It is 5' by 7'4"

The entry hall floor area where I want to put this rug is 12'3" wide and 15'10" long. The room feels longer because it is a front to back center hall, and it is preceded by a vestibule and succeeded by a narrower hall that leads to a glass back door. The width is also a 2 or three feet bigger, but a staircase intrudes in one area so the floor space is 12'3" after considering stairs.

In the center of this hall I am putting a double pedestal rectangular table that is 40" wide by 80" long. The 80" is actually just approximate, the table is a rectangle but the ends curve -- it is 80" at its longest point. There are two lanterns over the table.

Do you think this rug is too small? It will only have 10" left to right and 4" front and back. I want to go with a rug as small as I can because I really only want it to anchor the table. The floors are random width wide plank, so I really want to show off the floors, too. I don't want to use another table because it has sentimental value.

thanks in advance....
