I'd like to see the rest of the room.

It's not bad but would depend on what the color paint is below the white. It looks to be a cooler tan, but that could be my monitor.

What does your furniture look like?

The bottom color is actually a warmer taupe. It's probably not translating in the picture. Here's one of the full window and part of the living room after I painted. The color choices came from a rug that I now have down which has alot of moss green, taupe, gold, and burgundy in it. However I haven't chosen new seating yet.

Thanks for the pic. Lovely room and beautiful floors.

With seating being such a big ticket item, I think I would suggest picking that out first.

If you go with solids on your upholstery, you might want a print or stripe on your WTs. I'd hate to have to think of you making a big decision on furniture, based on a few panels.

Love your bookcases, too.

I agree with Parma, you should decide on your furniture first then move on to the drapes.

I agree that you need to pick furniture first. Drapes are more of an accessory decision, while furniture is a biggie.

Thanks Parma for the compliments and everyone for the advice. It's been a few yrs already that I have been living without window treatments and I'm worried that the morning sunlight is fading my wool rug. Not to mention I'm anxious to make the room look somewhat complete. It just seems easier to make a decision on a window treatment as opposed to furniture (but not by much).

Of course you all make sense. For the time being, I should probably go with putting up sheers or a sheer roman shade to filter the light.
