Why do I feel like this is spam?

    Because it is??

I like to "decor my house" also. Hand jive, right? Let's everybody do the decor. Grab a plate and lift those arms!

We can do the decor jive in our prom dresses

LOL remodelfla!! I was thinking this was the one who asked about prom dresses!!!

my friends, like to get together, and talk, and eat dinner, too. i like to feel very warm, but, summer is coming, so i would instead, prefer to stay, cool. i like to decor, as much, as the next person, but, really, haven't we had, enough of roosters, and commas?

Wht was the other one? Before prom dresses? Or maybe it was the next one after prom dresses. yes, I think after. Just a week or so ago.

OMG kateskouros I have to go change now!

I don't get the spam thing. Why direct you to a link with rooster dishes? What's the point? Is there some virus connected if you click on the link? I hate to send this to the top again, but am just very curious about it....

I'm just curious what "daydream-like colors" are.

Someone is trying to get hits to that web site and lots of buyers. Not allowed here. No spamming.

I guess I am wondering how dishes are healthy for you. I mean you don't actually eat them.

    Or DO you?

Wait! I know! They are the miniature sized dishes for dollhouses, and so your portions are quite a bit smaller, which makes for a "healthier" looking waistline! I totally get it! Load mine up!

    But, please, hold the SPAM.

After the prom dresses, or before, wasn't it something about high school girls wearing shorts to school? Something crazy like that!!

I remembered something about allowing someone to wear something. Maybe it was shorts. My memory bank is full and I had to jettison some things. That post was one thing.

I don't know if the OP is spamming, but..."enough of roosters"? I just bought two sets of rooster dishes to replace my white-with-flowers set that I've had for 16 years. I wasn't looking for roosters, I just liked the reds and yellows and wanted to get away from pastels. My new kitchen will be natural cherry with stainless appliances, and I'm thinking of Volcano granite.

My KDs did seem depressed that I bought rooster china and suggested solid colors, but too late. They said that roosters were "Country" and my kitchen will be contemporary. I told them I just liked the colors, and roosters are lucky in France, or something.

Is there something wrong with rooster dinnerware? Just curious. It's by Maxcera and has sunflowers, too. Won't post a link, lol. Although when I googled, "Rooster kitchen," I found DW and fridge covers and laughed myself sick. OK, that's going too far IMO!

hey, summerbabies, you like roosters, you can have roosters. Remember, this is YOUR life you're living. If you want to "decor your house" yourself, there are only two rules: be sure to have fun and to enjoy living with the consequences. It's not only hand jive, it's a whole body dance in the kitchen. Grab a plate in each hand and show the world how you can shake your decor booty.

Have fun stormin' the castle, folks!

Florantha, lol, thank you! I love to decor my house :-) I wasn't going to toss them :-) I searched for "rooster" on this forum, didn't turn up a lot. Just curious as to whether there was a great rooster debate.

My current AWFUL, hideous, badly designed builder-grade kitchen has pale green walls, icky pickled oak cabinets, godawful 3x3 white tiles on the countertop, and black appliances. The ceilings are 9' and I have 30" cabinets. I am getting natural cherry cabinets all the way to the ceiling, gorgeous black and gold granite (maybe Volcano, I love it), and painting the walls yellow.

My heart dances every time I think about what it will look like! No more dusty platters on top of the ridiculous 30" cabinets--they will be neatly tucked away. No more stupid, cheap half-shelves in the base cabinets--all pull-outs! No more standard overlay with the idiotic stile and narrow little drawers...lol. I don't want to be a bore, but this is nine years of resentment! I won't even mention the appliances, except to say that I will take great joy in tossing them into the dumpster.

Back to the plates...they're just so CHEERFUL. So NOT ME. I grew up in Manhattan and have generally elegant taste, except for my fish tank, which was so...so...ah, unusual, I had to get it. It will look a little bizarre in the new kitchen :-) It has mermaids on the base. I might have to paint them black. LOL.

Since I will lose the children's art gallery (currently on the walls above the cabinets), and everything the eye can see will be cherry or granite or stainless or neutral tiles on the backsplash--even the pendant lights replacing my verdigris pot rack are silver--I figured the plates should add some color. I did think about Fiesta, but my neighbor collects it.

I just bought rooster dinnerware too! Mine is Pfaltzgraff - DH hates it!! But the rooster is only on the salad plate, the dinner plate and bowl just had a great color combo of greens/yellows/reds that I loved!! It was called Tuscan Rooster. And the price was right so when I start breaking it I won't feel too bad! (I am not known for my grace)

I have roosters in my kitchen too. I have Pfaltzgraff in 4 different patterns because I like all the bright colors so much. When my kitchen is finish I'll post my pics with my roosters in all their glory!

Yay! Roosters! Would love to see pix! Sorry for double post, GW said "Message Rejected" so I copied and pasted it. Ooops.

Maxcera doesn't seem to make pasta bowls, so I got Waechtersbach "Lemon Peel" bowls to go with it. I hope they match. I have two patterns. One is "King Rooster" and the other is "Fall Rooster". I got six settings of each at TJ Maxx. They were very inexpensive.

Amazingly, none of the plates or bowls that I've had for years have broken, but they're thick and sturdy. Hopefully, these will last, too. I was a little leery of the huge square plates, but since my new DW has an adjustable top rack, decided to go for it. It will be a little weird putting food on brightly colored plates at first.

I did get a rooster cookie jar and olive/vinegar bottles. But I'm going to stop, I swear :-)

I'll post pix when my kitchen is done, too! The cabinets are being made and my living room is full of appliances and boxes of lights.
