Jeffrey Alexander hardware?

Does anyone know anything about the Jeffrey Alexander line of cabinet hardware? I was doing some research on-line and came up with the site. I'm not familiar with these particular products and wonder about their quality, durability, etc. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a link that might be useful: Hardware Resources products

We chose the Jeffrey Alexander Titan Hex Nut series for our new kitchen cabs. Along with several other contemporary touches (ie zero radius sink, Hansgrohe Solaris E faucet, etc) we feel this hardware contributes to a progressive, linear, unique look with our cherry Shaker cabinets (6 Square "Itasca" in kafe). The Titan Hex is of good quality, well-finished, heavy, and good-looking. Cabinets & hardware won't be installed until Tuesday, so I have no pics right now, but I will try to post some later in week. I hope this helps you!

emknc: thanks so much for that information. I haven't actually seen any of the Jeffrey Alexander hardware in person. I plan to call the company tomorrow and see if any local stores carry the line. I'm happy to know that you feel the hardware is of good quality, something that I obviously couldn't determine simply by looking at the on-line catalogue.

I've had that hardware for about three years, and I bet lots of other GardenWebbers do too -- but just don't know it!

Lots of us bought hardware from Builder's Resources or CabinetKnob.com, and Jeffrey Alexander is one of the lines they carry -- but they don't identify it by name. The only reason I found out is that I saw it for the first time yesterday in a kitchen and bath showroom and saw my hardware (Glenmore) along with the matching names and other pieces I remember from the site. I was able to compare it side-by-side with the Top Knobs and Schaub brand hardware of the same look, and even side by side, they look pretty good.

Are my $2.50 pulls every bit as nice as the $18.00 pulls? No. It's like comparing strands of pearls -- a moderate grade (NOT culls or plastic!) to a high grade. A knowledgeable judge can tell the difference if you look closely enough. But do you look that close? And when you need 100 pulls, I'm awfully glad I didn't spend $18 apiece!

After three years of hard use, they still look good as new, and I'd buy them again or recommend them to a friend without hesitation.

sweeby: thanks for your extremely helpful post. I fell in love with $25 pulls until I realized they didn't match the vision I have for our new kitchen. That's why I'm on a bit of a frantic search for something new.

Jeffrey Alexander is not as well known as Top Knobs and Shaub, or Amerock and Liberty (the junk you find at Home Depot), but the company that manufactures it has been around for like 15 years.

I purchased some knobs and pulls from a local Kitchen Cabinet Dealer last year. There is a lifetime guarantee on the hardware from the manufacturer, so that gave me a lot of confidence. I was told that some of Top Knobs product is actually made by them also.

They also have some iron corbels that I purchased to add to my Island bar and they look awesome!

    Great Stuff!
