I would love to get new countertops but my budget is just not working with me right now... I am not too fussy about them for I like a nice rusty kitchen. Nothing fancy. My question is are butcher countertops much more than laminate? I currently have laminate. Would they just go over them or make new ones. I would also like to get a new sink.

This might be do able but the farmhouse sink, under cabinet lighting etc would be nice. It's not going to happen in this lifetime. Too many medical bills :(

Oh my cabinets are painted a wedding white and my floor is a dark oak.
