71 here in Florida - near Tampa - should warm up tomorrow - we are expecting 78 as our high! :)

Just north of Tampa. Ours is 74 with the solar panels. During the winter, the sun angle isn't good for our panels. I expect that we'll be swimming again in about a month.

Thejimbar...BRRRRRRRR...reminds me too much of WI...beautiful but so-o-o cold!

A balmy 64 degrees in Pearland,Tx . My wife and daughter jumped in last month at 50 degrees. Actually did laps in the pool. Then proceeded to have hot chocolate pumped intravenously into their body to warm them up.
I jumped in and nearly had my johnsons's pop off my body. Two more months and counting.!!!!

    Teppy - 64 degrees...wow...do you have a cover?

We had family over yesterday in Orlando... My dad said the water was cold at 89 deg so we cranked up the heater and it got up to 91 deg! We have a heat pump but I had to cheat and use the 400k BTU NG heater.

This morning it was 85 deg and plan on swimming today.

    Bella -
Nice looking pool! What is the name of the red plants flanking your waterfall?

Thanks for the compliment Jmas65! The bright reddish pink plants on either side of my waterfall are called Hawaiian Ti. They grow real nice here in Central Florida if they are inside the screen enclosure or in a place that does not get full sunlight all day.

62 degrees today w/ air temps of 73. Yesterday was 61 and 84. A couple of the kids braved the cold water and then jumped in the spa to warm up.

64 degrees with solar running in San Diego.

    74 in South Texas.
We've been doing the cold dip shuttle out of the spa for about a month.

We don't have a thermometer, but outside temps reached 80 here in Phoenix yesterday. In fact, the kids have already swum twice in the last two weeks. I don't go in until May.

    Seattle temp 55 degrees...
    Water temp 46 degrees...

Starting up solar today as we have some sunny days coming.

Our 1st opportunity to put the solar to a serious test. We want to see how much heat we can produce even though it's still cool out.

At this point, we have no idea what our solar system can do.

Since it's still pretty cold at night (37 - 40 degrees) we will have to close the pool cover to keep any heat gained in.

Water is 2 days out of the water tower at this point and 59 degrees. Air temp is 71 today. My daughter and her friend decided to brave the cold water. They were in for as long as it took to jump in and climb back out again!

today probably 32 degrees tops in Connecticut

We got up to 68 today -- no solar, no cover. The kids had a blast swimming. Still way too cold for me.

In the winter, I heated the pool in Palm Springs to 87°, but the gas bill for last February was $700, and so I won't be doing that again.

Now in late June, the water temperature is around 94°, and so it feels a bit tepid. I prefer 87°, but I am going to have to find a somewhat cooler temperature for heating the pool to during the winter. I think 85° is as cold as I want to go, but the air temperature is usually in the 70s in the winter here, except for especially warm days, and there are not enough of those to heat the pool sufficiently. I wonder if I could handle 83° water in the winter.
