I would stongly advise not to use Newtech. I did a job this winter where the guy all ready had bought his material from a homeshow & just wanted me to do the labor. Being slow at the time I took it on. I never make my customers guinea pigs using a new composite so I figured this would be a chance to learn about the product without any liability on my end. Plus I knew my supplier was thinking about carrying this product.

The clip system they have was bad, weak plastic clips using a small stainless steel screws that had a #1 sq. drive trimhead. The screws stripped out really easy making it a pita to the extract the bad screws. The boards like all soft composites scratched up easily. The boards shrunk lengthwise more than any composite I have ever used. A 1/8" space between boards turned into 3/4" over night with only a 20-30 degree drop in temp.

When it got to be time to do the railings it was even worst. The post sleeves were too tight to fit on the 4x4 post & split the following day after installation. The rails would not have meet code & looke junky. I talked the guy into sending all the railing back & use ipe rails. At the least they looked good. The customer was happy with the job, only because I think he couldn't admit he made a mistake buying the crap or he got it really cheap.

Run, run away fast from newtech.
