pool jets on the cheep

I have a waterfall that I have added a diverter to so that I can add a few jets in the planter shooting into the pool. I have not found a nozle I like, I have tried several things, 3/4 inch pipe, 1/2 inch pipe and also a drip irrigation line (its about 1/4 inch hole.) The problem with all of these is that the water stream spread and lands in a large area. I would like to be able to hit an area about 1ft across with most of the water but I can't seem to get anything I like.

Is there a nozzle that I can buy for a reasonable price that will provide a decent water stream?

The water is diverted from a 2hp pump but I only open the valve a small bit so the waterfall keeps running.
