I want soapstone. I want it bad. But the only way we can do it is if we DIY the install. Which is fine. But the weird angles and raised portion of the penninsula part is giving me the willies.

A while back, someone posted my penninsula making it squared off and moving the prep sink over, and I really liked it. But that thread has disappeared, and I can't find where I saved it on my computer.

Here's the current layout, with the angles. At what point would you square it off? Am I losing countertop space? Losin cabinet space?
