Demolition has started. Questions about back splash. We're putting travertine tile 4 inch with a diamond pattern, colors near white and darker brown with glass in the center of the dark brown.

How far should I go with it in front of the sink? I was thinking maybe bring it up around the window even with the bottom of the cabinet. There is going to be a granite window sill and a new window, out with the useless garden window YEA....

Now for the pass through by the stove there is going to be granite back splash but I was thinking of bring the travertine all the way across. In the pass through will be a granite sill.
