Price range?
We are putting in a Waterstone PLP 5400.

A lot more expensive than planned but it is beautiful. I read almost every faucet review and switched my plans multiple times. I thought the US made Waterstone and Chicago faucets were excellent but Chicago did not offer a pull down style.

Most of the general faucets will work but likely will not last as long - so you have to amortize how much to spend with life expectancy.

The Euro faucets - Franke, Grohe, etc - most are using plastic heads and the heads last about 2 years (from GW and other reviews) - the companies do replace the heads.

There are other very expensive niche faucets (I really wanted a Karbon several years ago - but when I started out, was too expensive - and then I spent almost the same amount) and I don't know how they hold up.

BTW - currently, I have a $20.00 camper faucet in our kitchen as our 25 year old faucet died one month prior to reno. I could replace a lot of $20.00 faucets to equal one WS but the beauty takes it up a few notches.

You need to define what you want a bit more. What is your price range? What do you want in a faucet? High arc? Pull down? Side spray? Single handle? I think you'll get more help if you'll answer those questions.

I went with Waterstone too. Isn't installed yet but it is one heavy, gorgeous hunk of faucet.

The faucet I purchased was about $250. I have gone over-budget on every purchase so far, so I'm trying to be good! I hope I don't have to sacrifice quality too much. I'm looking for a high arc pull down, but have seen a high faucet with a pullout sprayer...like that too. Overall, I'm not really picky about this, I just want something that looks nice and updated and is good quality. I think a brushed nickel look will go well with the rest of the kitchen. We Purchased a Waterstone, it is definitely - the best faucet i have ever owned. LOVE IT!!

Delta Ashton stainless steel we love it, installed for 1 month. looks nice works great and the magnet holds the spray head nicely cost around $200

Poohpup...do you know if you can "lock" your faucet in spray mode? Or, do you have to hold the lever down to keep it in spray mode?

Buehl, you have to hold the lever to keep it in spray mode.

Moen usually gets pretty good reviews when bought from a plumbing supply store. I know the recent ones have the feature where the spray locks. And the even newer feature is the reflex technology. We had a Kohler for years that held up nicely.

I too have a Waterstone faucet. What an amazing change from my old Grohe. Mine must weight 12 pounds. All of the issues I had with my old faucet were addressed with this one. A2gemini, what finish do you have? Gorgeous! Mine is the same only the larger version.

Wow, pooh, that is one beautiful faucet. I was just looking at this one on Overstock but I wonder if all the spiral spring thing would get all gunked up and be hard to clean? Otherwise, Overstock seems to have a nice selection of decent faucets...

Looking for a recommendation for a bridge faucet with a pulldown spayer. The only one I have found I like is the Elkay Explore but it doesnt come in ORB. Saw the Price Pfister one but i have not read good reviews on their finish durability.

Anyone have any ideas? Really want a bridge faucet but not in love with the side sprayer.

Total_Remodel, I also love bridge faucets. After looking and looking and researching and lusting over them, I finally decided that (in this case), function has to win over form for me. I just can't go back to a side spray and to two handles. It's just not practical or convenient after working with a pull-down for years. So I found a pretty pull-down instead.

I just bought a Hansgrohe Allegro E gourmet at a great price - $275., I think, regularly in the $650. range. The reason for the discount from the shop is that they were price matching - the same one was available at Costco!

Thanks to all for your comments. We have decided to take a chance with the Moen we purchased. It looks nice, price was good, and northcarolina, you are right. Negative reviews can be found for just about everything. I'm expecting the granite to be installed next week, so we will have a fully operational kitchen soon.....finally, WATER again!

Pooh's faucet doesn't latch on spray. The 5400 that I am installing does. I loved Pooh's but didn't quite match the rest of the kitchen. I saw it before it was available and love at first sight!

LMM - it is the antique brass which looks great with my countertop but struggling with pulls and back splash. Glad to hear positive feedback on your WS!

Fing - I think you will be happy - and think of it this way. You payed $250 for the faucet - if it lasts 5 years, it is $50 per year and just pennies a day!!
Maybe I should switch to finance!!! Scary thought!!!!

What Waterston faucet do you have? I'm deciding between the pull-down and bridge.

Omg, I LOVE Waterstone faucets. They are a thing of beauty. Wish it would have been in our budget.

Alas, we went with the Delta Trinsic. I really like it so far in this remodel. It stays in spray mode without holding the button. The handle when straight up is cold and pulled forward is hot. It does not go back toward wall which is what we needed because there wasn't enough clearance with the window ledge. It pulls out nice and far so you can spray out a large sink, and the magna dock system holds it in place really well when it's retracted.

I have owned the Waterstone Annapolis Gantry faucet for 3 & 1/2 years. I am on my fourth faucet due to warranty claims (usually the pull down hose, but at times with multiple leaks at the connections, in ADDITION to the hose). Upon the second claim for the exact same reason, the service rep started acting liked I was doing something wrong, or was misusing the faucet. I think the only thing that kept him from accusing me of being a crazy old lady is that I am a successful professional in my early 40s and live in one of the most affluent ares of our very large city. Unfortunately, I now need to make another warranty claim ( the current faucet lasted 24 months - a miracle, hurrah!) and am actually afraid to call them! That should not be the case. The polished nickel finish has flaked off the handle and you can actually see the brass underneath AND the hose is spraying and leaking from everywhere again. Watermark may have some great faucets but, although the Annapolis fixed gantry is beautiful, I do not recommend it to anyone who cooks/uses it on a daily basis. I think there are no negative reviews online because, due to the price point, most purchasers are not the type to be cooking and cleaning for a family of four every day.

We have the Hansgrohe Allegro E. We've had it about 3 years now and no issues with it.

So sorry to hear you are having some much trouble with your purchase. I'm considering Waterstone because so far absolutely no one makes a faucet in honest-to-goodness unlacquered brass. Of course, I also want a pre-rinse and a traditional style so my options are quite limited.

I know this is an older thread, but ilikewhatyoudo, how is your delta Ashton holding up now??
