Son's bedroom update...

My son moved out a few weeks ago and I was determined that his room would not become a storage place. With his blessing, I turned it into a guest room...with no budget of course. (hope you can see...poor cell phone pix!) The walls were already BM brittany blue, so I added coverlets from Christmas Tree Shop & my drop cloth drapes.

The McCobb twin beds were hubby's as a child, and the night stand was his parents. I added a $20 TJMaxx lamp, $5 shutters to a mirror windowbox that was collecting dust down cellar and called it a day.

Still needs tweaking but I had fun doing this up and I know my daughter's room mates will stay here often.

Very nice! I don't think out CTS has any bedding! I like your drop cloth curtains! The lamp adds a nice touch.

Looks great! Your guests will sure to be comfortable there. I think it's wonderful to see old furniture being repurposed and the twin beds fit perfectly below each window. The shutters with the window box mirror is a very creative touch. Love it all!

Wow. You pulled this together beautifully, Loribee! It looks very inviting. I especially ,love the windowbox and your arrangement there, and the dropcloth curtains. You sewed those yourself? Great work!

Oh, you did say the paint is blue? On my computer the walls look pink. Strange.

Oceanna...I will have to snap a "real" pic with my camera. The paint color is so pretty, a lovely pale blue-gray, not pink. Sorry about the crummy cell phone pix~~
