Calling lagrant...

I saw your beautiful kitchen in another thread and tried to find you in finished kitchens (but couldn't). What is your hardware? I really like it... We're going with Cambrian Black Satin on our perimeter and a stone with a lot of movement- Titanium- on our island.

    Hi faleash,
I too am a fan of lagrant's gorgeous kitchen :) I had this saved in my clippings from a post of hers to someone else who asked about her hardware, so just in case she isn't around to answer:

"The pulls are from Hickory Hardware which is also Belwith - Studio Collection, in Stainless. We used the 8" appliance pulls on the big drawers and then the 5" on the smaller drawers and doors."

I love the pulls from Hickory Hardware also, but due to my drawer sizes, they just wouldn't work - I have several huge drawers that are up to 48 inches, so need really long pulls. The appliance pulls I found are VERY expensive (hundreds of dollars each) and I just couldn't see spending that.

By the way, would love to see photos of your granite since ours is very similar (not installed yet). We're using Cambrian black antique finish on perimeters and Persian Pearl which has quite a bit of movement on the island.

Thanks traci. I'll have to look back at some of your posts to remember what you are doing with your kitchen. Those are big drawers!! What hardware are you thinking of? I guess you like one big pull on bigger drawers rather than two? Me too. And, yes, some of those pulls are crazy $$. I'll post a pic of my granite in a bit (also not installed). Funny, I saw Persian Pearl when we were looking are thought it was beautiful. We were looking for a darker stone, but PP is really pretty and not so common. I'm putting in a link to a PP counter I found...

    Titanium.... we love it!

    Hi faleash,

That Titanium is a great looking slab of granite! We went with the Persian Pearl due to thinking that we might need something a bit lighter to balance the Cambrian, as well as the fact that our island is a dark stain versus white perimeter cabinets. What color are your cabinets? Are you just beginning - have you posted photos in another thread already (I love seeing photos!)?

Wow - the Persian Pearl in the link you posted is nice - I think ours will be more subdued since it is also an antique finish. It does look really nice polished though.

Here are some photos of my kitchen in it's current state (waiting for the granite to be installed - possibly by the end of this week). The hardware I finally went with was a very simple European style stainless bar pull. I ordered from knobs4less.com and spent approx. $16 for the longest pull (28.35" also in photo below). That was much better to me than spending $200+ each for special appliance pulls :) They look very substantial and heavy in person, so hopefully will hold up well.

We spent very little on pulls except for these little guys - there are 2 of them to go on the narrow pullouts on either side of the range. This is one of them on another slighter wider cabinet since the actual cabinets they will be one don't have fronts yet:

Good luck with your kitchen - can't wait to see photos!

I'm so sorry I missed this posting! Traci29 did get the hardware right, so thanks, Traci! I absolutely love the hardware and couldn't be happier with it. The appliance pulls are crazy expensive, but shop around online and on eBay - there are deals to be had if you keep a look out.

Your kitchen and granite are FAB! We had trouble locating our marble in the beginning and seriously considered White Diamond instead, which is similar to what you've chosen. I think it will look spectacular!

    Good luck!!
