Longtime lurker nearing decisions on cabs, appliances, lighting and window placement in new kitchen space. Plan is below, includes island with ample seating for cooking and non-cooking projects. Rest of the room will house TV, chairs and a desk/family message ctr. FWIW, fridge is full size and will be recessed a couple inches into the wall (not shown on this set of drawings)

I would love feedback on the following:

- Microwave used often. It is planned to be part of upper cabs next to fridge but would consider moving it if there is a better spot for little ones to use it.

-We decided to get separate induction cooktop and oven by same manufacturer, which can be together in the spot for the range, or installed separately. If I put drawers underneath the cooktop, is there a good place to put the oven? Do I have room for a wall oven and microwave together on one wall?

-We want to add a skylight over the kitchen area but still allow for overhead island lighting at night. Skylight would be as large as 2 x 6 running parallel to island. I thought a good spot might be over the aisle between the fridge wall and the island. Maybe that would still allow space for pendants. Thoughts?
