CHOCOLATE GLAZE (about 1 cup)
1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
4 TBL light corn syrup (Karo)
2 tsp water.

Combine chocolate, Karo & water in the top of a double boiler over hot, not boiling water until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat & blend until smooth.~~

What about a simple ganache?

8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
8 ounces heavy cream

Heat cream until just before it boils. Remove from heat and pour over chocolate.

Stir until smooth. Cool slightly, and pour over cake.

My all time favorite chocolate glaze/frosting is:

1. Melt one stick of unsalted butter in a pan with 1/2 cup hershey cocoa, stir well & turn off heat

2. Add ~2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar, tiny pinch of salt, 1 tsp vanilla, and about 3-4 TBSP buttermilk or other milk.

Stir well. Give it a few minutes to cool down and thicken up a bit and then pour over cake.

This is the frosting recipe for a buttermilk chocolate snack sheet cake I make often, but it makes a great frosting for a bundt cake too.

Alexa, I've never made a ganache. It always looks and sounds so gourmet. Now I know how to make one!

Well, I lost my bundt pan so I had to go with a sheet cake. I'm cutting and pasting these recipes in my file so when I do find the bundt pan again I'll be ready. It's down here in the basement somewhere, I just know it. We were briefly reunited a couple of months ago, but I can't remember where I put it.
